Late 1970s Kunio Matsumoto for Trifari Modernistic Necklace
This fantastic, modernistic necklace is by Kunio Matsumoto, a Japanese architect whose designs were part of the crown Trifari lines from the late 1970’s. His designs are sought after and highly collectible. This particular necklace features an eye-catching 3½” W x 1¾” H enameled center piece. The textured center piece changes from gold to olive gold depending on the lighting. Four strands of silver-tone box chains hold the piece. It closes with a fold over clasp centered in 2 enameled pieces. The necklace measures approximately 17½” long. It is signed Crown TRIFARI© on the clasp, and TRIFARI© and Kunio Matsumoto on the center piece. This fabulous, collectible necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
